Author's SIGNED presentation on the front blank flyleaf: "à son Collègue, le Poète Américain Raymond Federman, hommage d'un Poète Français H. M. Barzun, mars 1965." Also a folded, printed card of the Eiffel Tower, with 3-page ALS to Federman on poetry and signed by Barzun on March 25, 1965. The card is addressed to "Cher Monsieur Federman" but the inked text on academic poetry is in English. Likewise included, the stamped envelope of the same date, which was mailed to Federman at his SUNY Buffalo office from Barzun's American home in New Rochelle. Nice substantive discussion of modern choric discpline in the teaching of poetics in post-WW II universities.
