Printed at the De Vinne Press in a limited edition of 425 copies, on American hand-made paper, frontispiece mezzotint, and the other nineteen plates photograuvres, with the original tissue guards present (the tissue guards somewhat browned, but no transfer onto the plates), original half-vellum with blue stiff boards and gilt trim and lettering Major indices of engravers, publishers, places, owners, etc. at the end. A small two-inch clipped paper cut on the lower edge of the final printed leaf (pp. 405-406), not affecting any text. Also included (loosely) are a two-leaved announcement of the publication and a two-leaved announcement of the 1904 annual meeting of the Grolier Club.
